Get Started

At Jersey CrossFit Gym, we not only want to make sure that you get the safest, most effective workout, but that you’re part of our community before you start your first group class. Coached by a CrossFit coach our 21 Day Jumpstart programme is designed to get you to your first session with the knowledge you need to be successful.

To get started at Jersey CrossFit Gym you must complete our 21 Day Jumpstart programme, graduating as a full member of our clubThis ensures you learn the ropes, develop your technique on exercises, understand the theory behind CrossFit methods, and so that when you graduate it will allow a smooth transition into the group training classes.

The Fundamentals Program:

  • 2 x 60 minute sessions with a private coach learning foundation exercises.
  • Advance your knowledge and technique to a level that will allow a smooth transition into group training classes. 
  • After completing Session 1, you get 21 Days on the CrossFit Unlimited membership to attend any classes of your choice on the class timetable. During this period you can then feedback anything you like to your private fundamentals coach, any concerns, technique difficulties, etc. During this period we will also carry out Session 2 of your fundamentals program.

All fundamentals sessions must be made up via private coaching. After the completion of the Fundamentals Program  you can then decide if a membership is for you, and which classes best suits your schedule and goals. 

What you can expect to learn in our Fundamental sessions:

  • Session 1 – Introduction to Jersey Crossfit Gym, Class Timetable, Why CrossFit?, Programming, 10 physical skills/hierarchy of fitness/Wellness continuum/metabolic pathways, Air Squat, Back Squat, Front Squat, Overhead Squat, Thruster, Push Ups, Strict Press, Push Press, Lunge, Box Jumps, Burpees, Wall Ball, Slams, short WOD.
  • Session 2 – Deadlift, Sumo Deadlift High Pull, High-Hang Power Clean, High Hang Power Snatch, Handstand Progressions, KB Swings Russian/American, KB Snatch, TTB progressions, Pull Up progressions, Jumping C2B, Ring Rows, Rope Climb Progressions, Concept 2 Rowing mechanics, Skipping, short WOD, Jersey CrossFit Membership Options, TeamUp.

Please Note: If you hold a Level 1 Crossfit Trainer certificate or if you are a CrossFit regular from abroad visiting you are more than welcome to contact us to join the classes immediately.
