We understand that CrossFit classes alone will only train you for general fitness. This is why you see many of our coaches and members supplementing their training with “extra stuff”. Your fitness journey is never a straight line from start to finish.

At different points along your journey, you may want to improve your barbell lifting or gymnastics, build your endurance engine or simply add variety with something new and fun. In fact, supplementing your regular training with one or two Specialty Programs throughout the year might be exactly what you need to break a mental or physical plateau and take your training to the next level!

Whatever your goals are, we have a Specialty Program for you.

Weightlifting Club

Jersey CrossFit Weightlifting Club is home to Jersey’s largest licensed Olympic Weightlifting Facility. Olympic Weightlifting has grown in popularity due to the rise of CrossFit. So much so,  that in early 2019 we decided to establish a dedicated club. Our aims are to establish a number of lifters on the National stage, in either CF or Weightlifting competitions. The JCF Weightlifting Club focuses exclusively on position, technique, and mobility for those who seek a deeper base of knowledge on which to build their lifting prowess.

The Weightlifting Club focuses on the movements of the snatch and clean & jerk, and helps make the adjustments necessary to advance in these lifts. The club trains hard, with the aim to help individuals prepare for competitions throughout the year. Competing is crucial to developing confidence in your lifts and vital experience to tackle the pressures of competitive lifting and competitions, whether in CrossFit or Olympic Lifting.

Our Coaching Team has extensive knowledge within the Sport of Weightlifting and are Certified British Weightlifting Coaches. We pride ourselves on offering a professional,  safe and supportive training environment. If you wish to learn Olympic Weightlifting the correct way – then look no further! This is about your development as an individual with us there to support your journey and to celebrate your personal bests.

The JCF Weightlifting Club comes as part of your Unlimited CrossFit Membership. These main club sessions are for intermediate/advanced level.  If you are interested in joining onto a Weightlifting Only membership then please contact us. 8 Week Weightlifting Intro Course

Our Club also runs an 8 week beginner’s course where you can develop your basic skills safely in a supportive environment before you join the wider sessions of the club.

The 8 Week Intro Course focuses exclusively on the correct technique for weightlifting and is designed for beginner to intermediate level. Athletes will work on improving their abilities in the snatch and the clean and jerk through drills, technique work, accessory exercises and of course plenty of classic lifting. We encourage all those who participate in CrossFit or just starting out to enrol on this course as form and technique are of crucial importance to success in weightlifting.

The course runs for 8 Weeks, which includes week-by-week progressive drills to help develop your technique. It is for those who have never been exposed to weightlifting and those who seek a deeper base of knowledge on which to build their skillset; trainees are encouraged to start here unless they have significant experience with weightlifting.

Endurance Club

Jersey CrossFit Endurance is an endurance sports training program dedicated to improving performance, fitness and endurance potential. We inspire, coach, and provide our community with the most aggressive and proven fundamentals of sports science, exercise physiology, nutrition, and athletic training protocols. 

Designed for the intermediate to competitive athletes, this is a periodised weekly endurance program run by an experienced endurance competitor for anyone wanting to optimize their aerobic capacity. The sessions run weekly and is programmed in 12 week cycles focusing on a specific goal e.g. 5k, half marathon, marathon. We also will design a training program individualised to you that starts with moderate aerobic workouts and progresses into race-pace simulated intervals.
Our coaching team are accredited with UK Athletics and certified CrossFit Endurance coaches. They are amongst the top endurance coaches in Jersey, working with runners and triathletes of all levels and disciplines, from 5k/sprint distance triathlon to ultra marathon/Ironman. This is about your development as an individual with us there to support your journey and to celebrate your personal bests.

8 Week Run Clinic Course 

Our Endurance program also runs an 8 week Run Clinic where you can develop your basic skills safely in a supportive environment before you join the wider sessions of the club. The 8 Week Course focuses exclusively on the correct technique for running and is designed for beginner to intermediate level. Individuals will work on improving their abilities through drills, technique work, accessory exercises and of course plenty of classic running. 

Individuals around Jersey are experiencing success in their endurance goals by completing our 8-week course, which includes video analysis and progressive drills to help develop your technique. We encourage all those who are just starting out or who participate in CrossFit to enrol on this course as form and technique are of crucial importance to success in endurance sports.
